Browser preferences

Watchkin stores viewing preferences and recent history in this browser. The player includes a control to clear recent history. Clearing site data also removes locally saved settings.

External services

Playing videos contacts YouTube. Discovery uses an external video proxy and search-suggestion service. Video details, transcripts, translation and SponsorBlock may contact their respective providers. These services receive network requests, including your IP address and the requested video or search information, and apply their own privacy policies.

Submitting the separate WackySafe web-search form opens WackySafe in a new tab with your query. Ordinary video queries are not sent to that web-search form.

Website statistics

The homepage uses Statcounter to measure visits. Loading the homepage contacts Statcounter, which receives information about the visit. See Statcounter’s privacy information.

Accounts and messages

Public membership and payment services are disabled for this launch.

If you contact Watchkin by email, the recipient receives the information you send. Hosting services may retain technical access and error logs.

Children and content

Do not submit children's personal information in search terms or support messages. Keyword checks do not evaluate the full content of a video or image. Adults should assess suitability before sharing.

Terms of use

Videos remain hosted by their providers and subject to their availability and terms. Watchkin is a viewing interface and does not own the videos. External links lead to services with their own policies. There is no guarantee that keyword filtering finds all unsuitable content.
